Batu Ferringhi - Penang - Malaysia

Well we extricated from Penang central city Georgetown to Batu Ferringhi, a beach. We had it talked down to us, so we were pleasantly suprised! the water was a bit ugly, but the atmosphere and beach bars and the live in family home accomodation was good. There is also an amazing food court we discovered on our last night here.

Fruit farm mission - hired a motorcycle again and got a delicious fruit platter and juice up in the mountains. Yum. On the same cycle trip we went to the world dragonboat champs! (No NZ teams qualified) Watched them battle horrendous wind, meanwhile the aluminium construction marquee we were under lifted off and flew about 15 m through the air, luckily no one was killed!

Islamic woman about to parasail. Unconventional: Yes (she chickened out by the way)
