Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Back in a cool city! We like that. This is when Megan grew very large and got trapped under a bridge. No actually Im kidding - this is Megan in the Cu Chi tunnels, part of the Ho Chi Minh trail. It still exists in places! Wicked fun crawling around in the dark, about 6m under ground. We only just fit in them, but they have already made them 40% wider for fat tourists like me.
Nice beam of light there, cant waste those moments for worship
This was the view from our hotel. Vietnam is all colourful buildings with crazy shaped windows, its all some Asian postmodern dream, I reckon cos everything got bombed to high hell in the war and then it all got rebuilt in the late 70's/80's. Can anyone verify this? You just dont realise the absolute attrocities that the states did here till you visit this city. It made me feel worse than the Cambodian Genocide, its disgusting. There were seemingly no repurcussions for the USA decision makers, they destroyed and killed everything here.
Vietnam is communist. You dont really think about that till you get here. Its hard to see any difference from our perspective.
Polishing sultry black lacquerware
Me going into a tunnel. Exciting.
We justified shooting a gun by saying Vietnam won the war. So its ok. This is an M16! Short-lived thrill.

You guys are looking really brown and a bit malnourished. Yup, just like the locals. And clearly not claustrophobic, judging by the size of those tunnels. Love the head sticking out photo...
